There hasn’t launched yet. Today this site does exactly one thing: it takes an email address so we can tell you when the app opens in your city. This page describes that, specifically, rather than covering a product that doesn’t exist yet. When the app ships, this policy gets rewritten and you’ll be told before anything changes about data you’ve already given us.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store:

• Your email address. The only thing you actually type.
• Where you came from.The referring page and your browser’s user-agent string, captured automatically so we can tell which links bring people here.
• A timestamp of when you signed up.

We do not ask for or store your name, phone number, location, or payment details. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

What we do with it

We email you. That’s it. You get one message confirming you’re on the list, and one more when There is available to you. We don’t run a newsletter and we don’t send marketing to this list.

We never sell your email address, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Where it lives

Waitlist entries are stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted in the United States, kept separate from any other system we run. Emails are delivered by Resend. Site hosting and privacy-preserving traffic analytics are provided by Vercel; those analytics are aggregate and do not use cookies or build a profile of you.

Each of those providers processes data on our behalf under their own terms. We keep your entry until the app launches or until you ask us to remove it.

Getting your data removed

Email hi@therewithfriends.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete it. We’ll remove the record and confirm. You can also ask for a copy of everything we hold on you, which will be the short list above. No account, no form, no dark pattern.

If you’re in the EU/UK or California, the rights you have under GDPR and CCPA (access, deletion, correction, and knowing whether we sell your data — we don’t) are handled through that same address.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how we use an email you’ve already given us will be emailed to you first.
